Vancouver Singer Adaline Hits it Big with Twitter and Twilight

Vancouver singer Adaline, after taking part in Juno Fest in Vancouver last week, had a chance encounter with Twilight star Robert Pattinson that led to some serious exposure.

The Muse Box: After playing a showcase during Junofest this past weekend in her hometown, Adaline was enjoying the Gibson after party at Richards on Richards when she bumped into Twilight mega star, Robert Pattinson, who plays lead vampire Edward Cullen in the popular flick. The two had a short conversation, after which Adaline proceeded to post that she had met him on her Twitter page. By the next morning, the songstress had received over 3,000 Myspace plays and 100 messages from Twilight fans and newly minted Adaline fans from all over the world.

It quickly became apparent that an online source had found her Twitter post and reported that, “Rob Pattinson was sighted by Adaline, a great Vancouver Indie singer and musician” with a link to her myspace. Her subsequent Myspace blog post about the coincidental evening has sparked interest all over the world, from Australia to Denmark to Los Angeles. In seconds her blog had been posted by fans on dozens of Pattinson sites, was translated into several different languages, and started an unexpected surge of interest in Adaline’s music. Forty hours later, Adaline had over 23,000 myspace plays and 800 messages from people all over the world who had discovered her music.

Pretty wild stuff!
